I am curious if everyone on this site is a member of the NRA? If you are not why?

I think most firearm owners are members of the NRA, if they value their Second Amendment rights. The progressives (really regressive) types, like Obama would love to strip us of our liberty and Freedom, and repeal most of the Bill of Rights. They especially dislike the 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendments. They prefer everyone submit to their socialist, utopian vision of society, because these elitists think they are smarter than you. They truly believe you must work for free to help others too lazy or too stupid to work on their own.

I joined the NRA before I owned a firearm.

That is not a true statement. There are estimates that there are around 100 Million gun owners. Last count I heard, the NRA membership was around 4.5 million. At that point in time, they had added 1/2 a million in a 6 month period after Sandy Hook.

We really need to press our neighbors and friends to spend less than a day at the range to help fight Washington from Stripping our rights.

Thanks for the correction! I guess like the III% that formed the USA, the NRA is the III% that support the Second Amendment. The NRA is the one organization every firearms owner MUST join. If you know a Gun Owner that is not a member, encourage them to join! It costs no more than a box or two of ammo, and is money well spent.

I'm a proud NRA member. Please consider joining if you are not a member, it is never too late to support our Republic and the Bill of Rights!

That was the reason for me posting the question. The huge amount of gun owners in this country that are not members is astounding. I was curious if any forum users weren't members and why not.

I'm doing the yearly thing too. If I could afford a year I would, but I'm good with the yearly status for now. Haha

Just noticed I said if I could afford I year I would... I meant if I could afford the lifetime I would.. I already am signed on for the year. I'm trying to get my roommate to join when he finally makes a purchase.. Hopefully he will soon!

The lifetime membership is a great deal if you are under 40... At my age the 3 year renewal is the best deal.

Unless you go to an NRA show. They drop it down to $600 for a lifetime.

When I joined it was $500. They also had a monthly payment plan, don't know if they still do.

Just looked it up and it appears that it is now $1000 for a lifetime membership. Think at that price I will be an annual member for the rest of my life

I'm pretty sure that they offer it for less when they call you to re-up too. I know it wasn't the full $1000. Whatever it was it was still too high at the time and I just re-upped for another year. I also paid for the membership of an active duty soldier which I thought was nice.

Any one here a member of the Illinois State Rifle Association or Wisconsin Firearm Owners, Ranges, Clubs & Educators?

That is a wonderful thing you did for that soldier! Well done!
