I sure hope that the Mutually Assured Destruction strategy works in the era of suicide bombers and radical Islamic terrorists that want to meet their maker. Once the Nukes start flying in the middle east, all hell will break loose. But these make me sleep better at night, knowing that when millions are dead, there will be nothing left of those that started it. I particularly like the idea that we have a couple boomers who's job it is to launch a year or two after the major exchanges upon anything that recovered or survived.

The question really is does MAD still work with Putin.

I don't fear Putin or even China... I worry about the religious fanatics... I truly believe that if Iran had a nuclear device on a missile they will use it in short order. The question arises what happens next? What is ISIS suddenly possessed a nuclear device? What if they had a few suitcase sized small bombs?
