I do keep a small AAA flashlight with my pen. I wouldn't keep it on the gun just because as some people pointed out, if you want to shine the light on something you have to point the weapon at it. So I like it sperate for that reason. And I will be carrying a second mag, because the XDs can only hold 5 + 1 for the standard, and the extended is 7 + 1.
I do need a new knife though... I was looking at spiderco, Kershaw, and I'll add some SOG to my list. I've seen a couple I like. And I should look into some leathermans. My buddy has one and I love it.
