I thought about that too... I tried some other options .45ACP +. I have even purchased a couple 10mm handguns. I love the 10mm round. However, I purchased a Rock Island Arms 10mm Double stack (Model 52009) with a 5 inch barrel and a Glock 40. I have found both are great handguns, but the Rock Island is heavy, and the Glock is too bulky for CCW.
Instead I purchased a FNS9C with 12+1 9mm capacity. It's still small enough for CCW. Much more so than a Glock 19. And the backup magazines are 17 rounds. I still like my Ruger LC9S, but I think the 7+1 is barely OK.
