I'm curious about this too. Is it just to get away from the millions of people in the area. Every prepped checklist I see seems short term. I thought that SHTF was a long term thing.

I'm also not in way a prepper or have any real knowledge on the subject but I'm willing to learn. Is it possible for some of you who are post on what you are preparing for and how you are preparing?
