I stopped by for ammo Thu. and mentioned to Mike we were heading to McMiller's. He asked for some pictures so here they are.

For those not familiar, they are an outdoor range in Souther WI. It is a bit of drive (50 miles) from Round Lake, taking 12 through Fox Lake and up past Lake Geneva.

It is nice because you can get an all day pass for all ranges for around $20 (that is an hour at most local indoors), so you can make a day of it.

There is a 22 only plinking range, 25,50,100,200, and 300 yard ranges, a skeet range, a shotgun pattern range (slugs only on the rifle ranges for shotguns), and a 10 station sporting clay course.

This trip we did pistols, shot my mosin on the 50 yard, and then round of sporting clays. We also broke for a picnic lunch on the grounds in between.

If your are looking to maximize your trip, there are great campgrounds near by as well as a world class mountain bike course nearby and hiking on the Ice Age Trail is right off McMiller's.

It's McMiller... Great yearly pass rates... $200 a year ($300 w/300 yd range). And really good range guys. Forget a flag, they lend you one. No range Nazi' either. They really help keep the range safe. And always helpful. I recommend it.

Yea....me too on Bristol. I'd go more if they'd lighten up on the magazine cap and get rid of the one round at a time rule on the rifle range.

I might have to follow 308 and do up the season rate.. i could easily do that drive for a day of shooting and with so many good places to go in the area...

I heard that changed to 5 but I have not confirmed it

I'm in for one of each! Had a great time checking out the ranges today. Didn't end up shooting because the place was so packed but will go back real soon! The girlfriend now wants to start shooting clays after watching them for awhile! Great news for me because that means I get to buy a few new shotguns!

There are like 10 shotgun stations around the property... Sundays are for some reason more crowded than Saturdays. McMiller is my favorite range!

I only saw the first shotgun station right when you enter the parking lot. I had no idea they have others. I will for sure have to check that out next time I go. Hoping this weekend but don't think it will happen.
