I got a great call this morning. Jessica, the co-owner of Acme Bullet called me to let me know they had completed a large run of 175 Gr COATED SWC. The 175 LSWC is one of my most popular rounds in terms of sales, and having a coated version will have a number of advantages.

1) no smoke - the coating is the lube and it does not stick to the gun, so no smoke

2) No Lube Grove means more bullet surface to the barrel. My experience with the 180 .40 and 230 .45 was that this enhanced accuracy just a tad, (a noticeable tad though).

3) They go through my Mr Bullet bullet feeders just like a jacketed and plated bullet. No more hand setting of the bullet, I can just pull the handle and watch. Collating is not a problem with these, the bottom is so much lighter than the top, the bullet feeder orients them perfectly every time.

4) No more gloved left hand. I always wear a nitrile glove when loading exposed lead bullets. No more glove, these babies are so clean they are slick.

I have 2000 on they way. You should see them on the AcmeBullet.com web site soon. I will be publishing data for this bullet using the Expansion Industries ETR7 powder shortly.

BTW, the 158 gr .38 SWC is a great shooter as well and runs through my feeders perfectly.

Great! Just placed an order for 1000 of the 9mm 115 gr coated and added some of the .38 158 gr coated to try. Thanks for letting us know.
