Definitive study. I've always thought steel case ammo would wear out a barrel and extractor at 6,000 rds... An old gunnery sergeant told me that. However, I don't think I have fired that many rounds through any firearm I own. I still prefer brass, because now I can reload.

The Russians have been using steel cased ammo in the SKS and AK for decades, just some food for thought.
