Any thought's on Timney or suggestions on other drop in trigger assembly's?

If you plan on CCW this or any pistol, I hear it's not a good idea to trick out with addons or upgrades, as it could conceivably be held against you in court if you ever end up using it for self defense. Isn't that true?

That's what I was told in every class I've taken including the non-CCW ones.

Timney makes pretty high quality trigger assemblies, but I would encourage you to check out the triggers from Zev. They are a Glock-only custom shop, and they probably make the best drop-in triggers for Glocks. You can check them out at zevtechnologies.com. But, as stated earlier, if you're going to carry this weapon concealed, it's best to not modify the trigger.

I've always wanted to mess with that stuff, but I've held off till I have a 'spare' ... Maybe if I pick up a Glock to beat on I'll try it =p
But one thing that was recommended is to cut out the center of the target so that your brain isn't worried about the instant satisfaction of wondering where you got the target, but you'll know if you've missed. I haven't tried it yet but I know I should give it a try

I'll check them out. Regarding a carry weapon I would stick with a G-19 due to size. G-17 is more for the range where I feel an upgrade may be nice. Thanks for your input.

I am not a fan of timney their customer service SUCKS. And the trigger did its job but didn't fit the gun, so it's a pain to take apart.

I dunno much about replacement triggers for pistols... But if you want a great rifle trigger, Geissele Triggers are the way to go...
Their SSA-E trigger is the best I have ever used.

It was a rifle trigger, I was in the middle of things and didn't expand on the thought.

Absolutely.....Customer service is a key factor if you every need them and count on it you'll need them sooner or later. Online and catalog shopping can be convenient and at times very price competitive but there's no fooling yourself if you think you'll get the same service as an independently owned brick and mortar store can give. Im sure this may fluctuate a bit between industries, but to find people in the gun industry who are able to provide service and knowledgeability can be extremely important and difficult to find. Independent's provide an invaluable item that mail order and big box can't. I can ramble on for a week about this topic but I'll spare a few gigabytes of hard drive space for RDA.
RDA...........Thank you for filling the void by providing personalized service and knowledge to your customers.
fromtheplaines your input is noted and well appreciated. Thanks again!

You're welcome. I worked in customer service and there are a lot of different ways to look at a problem.

RDA has a fine and VERY knowledgeable and helpful crew. If they don't have something they can get it. And I have been very pleased with the gunsmithing services offered as well and the TIMELINESS of getting something done. And having it done correctly.
RDA is a full service organization that delivers, at the most competitive prices.

There's nothing like a Brick and Mortar independent businesses. RDA is the way a B&M retail business should be.
