I hate jazz. It reminds me as a kid going on wild goose chases all over the burbs with my folks as they listens to what do you know on NPR. God that sucked

When you are in the mood for jazz nothing else will do.

In fact there are three like that - jazz, classical, and Frank Sinatra.

When it's time, it's time.

Seems my tastes follow bradberry and Dutz. Depends on my mood, some country, jazz or classical. However, its hard to beat 70s 80s Pink Floyd with the volume turned up.

Same goes for Tony Bennett. As I age there seem to be a time for most everything..... other than Country, Dico or Techno

In my younger years I was a "high-brow" classisist and looked down on songs like Footloose, and other pops songs of the day. As I approached 30, I discovered European Jazz, African pop. In my 40s I began to really like more and more types of music like bluegrass, and now enjoy obscure "new age" and "electronic rhythm" (Thierry David) as good driving music with no lyrics to get in the way. Right now, I'm listening to some good 'ol classical. I forgot how nice it is!

Also, in the country/folk veign my favorites are Jerry Reed, George Jones and Junior Brown.

In my younger and elder days I was and am all about classic rock guitarists. Hendrix, Alvin Lee, Page, Richards, Clapton (more blues today) and so many more. I never played a guitar but both electric and acoustic classic players have always amazed me. Not to take away from keyboards, saxophones, or drums...There's just something about Hendrix that still amazes me..

Okay, for all of you that like listening to anything in the garage or backyard or anywhere really, and you have regular speakers you would like to use but want to use your phone/Ipod via bluetooth to stream. Get this http://www.amphony.com/products/bluetoot...ceiver.htm . I have one in my garage with a set of polks and I love it. No more 3.5mm cable to feed cheap a$$ PC speakers. This things is perfect. It is an amplifier that powers standard speakers. Every time I am in the garage working, mowing the lawn, washing cars or just fiddling around I stream from my phone to the Amphony device and I get REALLY good music out of my polks. Limit is Bluetooth range of about 20 to 30 feet. I do plan on installing a higher gain antenna to push the distance. I will be setting it up (once I am done replacing windows in my house) for the back yard to power my outdoor Polks. I was not sure at first how I would like it but, for me, it was well worth the $$.
